Description

Questions:

Real Name:
Claire Melanie

Alter-ego/Identity:
the Stretcher. I was originally gonna go with 'Elasticlaire', but it was rejected for having my name in it.

Species:
Human, just with superpowers.

Age:
I'm 24

Occupation:
I'm a Trainee Hero full-time, though I did have multiple occupations at my former Grocery Store.

Residence:
I currently reside in the expanse of Freshpond City.

Affiliates:
You mean like friends and family? Well there are my parents and my sister, who helped support me on my decision to become a super heroine. My Grandma Melanie, who gave me some helpful tips when needed, whether it's asked for or not. I've also got my old friends from the East. ...Organizations? No comment.

Brief Biography:
When I discovered my powers as a kid, all I ever wanted to do was be a hero. So when I reached high school, I decided to try and develop my "hero-side" anyway I could. I tried anything to get better; Weight Training, Acrobatics, and Yoga among other things. I even made my own costume using whatever I had lying around (not this one though). After I got my college degree, I moved out of the East Coast and rented an apartment in the West Coast, the place where adventure awaits. On my first day, I met my first super-villain; some muscle for hire who goes by the Knuckle-Naut.... it didn't go too well for me. But it did get the higher-up's attention, then one invitation and a lot of discussion later, I was officially the city's official designated hero. Which brings me here, right now... at the interview.

Personality:
I'm just kind of happy and outgoing, being social with family and friends.
I get kind of nervous when talking about my alter-ego, because I never know what it's gonna be about.

-Likes/Dislikes:
I love the feeling of success when I stop a crime, as well as the praise that comes with it (the first time I got a huge applause, I smiled so wide). The jumping and swinging through the air is also a thrill, kind of like when Spider-Man uses his webs to do all those cool acrobatics tricks, just, HUNDREDS of feet in the air! I just get a thrill when I'm out on patrol, just gives me a reason to do all those sick flips n' tricks. However, what I don't enjoy are all those constant criticisms from some of the less-thankful folk (seriously, they act as if stopping crime is a crime). Also, kind of a pet peeve, but I don't like to wear anything that's "revealing". I just prefer the coverage that a jumpsuit provides (please don't hurt me).

-Beliefs and Goals:
I usually try to appear more serious rather than silly, which works some of the time. No matter how serious or silly I might look, I always try for to do what's right, despite what the downers might say.

-Quirks/Hobbies/Other Identifiers:
I like dancing, swimming, reading and spending time with my family. My sister likes to tease me by calling me her "little puffin", because I tried to be bigger than my sister when I was little.

Skills:
I have a eye for detail, so I notice things if they seem a bit off for whatever reason, guess that's what happens when you spend 3 years straightening shelves every night. I recently bought a book that shows me how to tie different kinds of knots so that I can improve my dexterity, it also helps in that I know how to get OUT of those knots myself. I can also flex my tongue to spell my name... if that counts as a skill.

Powers:
As this guide would suggest, I have the ability to do anything you can with rubber; Bend, stretch, flatten.... inflate. But other than that, both me and my suit can resist high-voltage electricity, it really just sort of tingles. I've been told that I can shape-shift into anything, but I haven't had much luck at it. Also, I hear that people with elastic abilities can apparently regenerate after being "blown apart", but I honestly don't plan on Exploding myself anytime soon.
So, I don't have that much to go with, but I also have some other suits and gadgets to help me out. I have a '
Celsius-suit', which protects me from extreme hon-n'-cold degrees, and also a scuba-suit for those lakeside emergencies. I have a pair of Bungee-boots, which I use to jump really high, or give mah kicks a boost. *Sigh*and an emergency airbag function that is useful, but I'd just... rather not.

-Source of Powers:
I was just born with them, but I didn't know about them until I was a toddler. Apparently though, no one in my family records seemed to have these abilities, guess that makes me the first in my family to have super powers.

-Notable Weaknesses:
Well, I am kind of a lightweight, so that kind of makes it easy for some villains to pick me up and toss me around. I'm also vulnerable to those "extreme degrees", as I said before, hence my need for a special suit. I'm also not the most physically fit in terms of upper body strength, needing to rely more on momentum and thick gloves.
