Description

One night, Snow Angel got a distress call from a police station that Chernobulk is on a rampage and was causing massive destruction, but was fortunately empty and void of any civilian harm. So she heads out to confront Chernobulk, and the two get into a fight in the middle of a snowstorm.

I'd love to give a proper critique for this but it being part of a contest made that feel awkward...but now that it's finished I can.

It's a very well done drawing, I'll say that. A clear stand out thanks to the way you've utilized the lighting or more honestly how you haven't. The whole image is dark and awful as conditions get in a snow-storm save for the glowing harsh light coming off Chernobulk, it really lands home that this is ONE lone figure against the elements. You've done a good job emoting with bulk- not easy considering he's a skull headed thing.

I would say the background I can' tell if that's an explosion back there or what it is. Once downloaded it becomes more clear that it's a building...I'm not sure what happened to the explosion but it appears...sort of clipped in, the picture warps around as though it was inserted incorrectly.

It's striking though despite that! If I saw this as an ad for a comic or an event I would for certain be willing to pick it up if only for more scenes like this. I can say without any hesitation that this was the clear winner of the contest and it's not hard to see why.

The characters interacting, the lighting, the use of the elements (BOTH IN PICTURE and in how you used various techniques) were all stand out.

I would say Cherno is the big star of the image but Snow Angel looks a little not present. Like I could see her having that face while getting her hair done not in battle.

To "elevate" the image I Would work on making her POSE as dynamic as say Cherno and maybe even going a little CRAZY with Cherno's effects on the world. Have steam coming off him from melting snow, have the ground around him boiling black from the heat that sort of thing.

Honestly an excellent little image with not too many faults and what few I find I can forgive.
